My Card Garland!

I am so proud - this card garland idea I first saw on the Celebrating Christmas blog (see sidebar for link) and then went to the original blog it came from but anyhow I loved the idea and wanted to show you that I did it!! I wanted it done quickly so I bought already painted decorations for the ends of the clothespins instead of painting some myself! I got so many wonderful yummy new recipes and ideas for Christmastime this year and enjoyed trying all of them. My card garland was a favorite displaying all the Christmas Greetings we received from family and friends throughout the season. I posted some pics for you to see! (Our favorite recipe I found was the Wassail oh man was it delicious!!!)

Send a Card to a Soldier!!

I was so thrilled to receive this email from a friend of mine about this opportunity! As most of you already know my brother is serving in the military and has already completed two tours of Iraq. I KNOW how important mail is to them and how much of an encouragement it can be to soldiers while they are overseas!! I have posted the email below along with the link to click on! PLEASE check it out and consider sending a warming card to one of our troops! Thank you!

If you go to this web site, www.letssaythanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services. How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to k now we are behind them. This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you's.Thanks for taking to time to support our military!
