The Shack

This morning I finished my latest "good read", "The Shack" by WM. Paul Young. When I told my mom I was reading it she told me that people either love it or hate it. She was absolutely right and I personally was amongst the "love it" crowd! This book really makes you stop and go, "what?!" and often go back and reread a paragraph to try to understand what the heck the author just said! It is a very emotional and heart-changing book and I highly recommend it to ANYONE! It is a must read! You can click on the picture or the title to visit the website to learn more.
Back of the book reads:
" Mackenzie Allen Philip's youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in the midst of his Great Sadness, mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend.
Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever.
In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant THE SHACK wrestles with the timeless question: Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain? Then answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You'll want everyone you know to read this book!"

Sounds like a good book. I'll have to get it. Thanks for coming to my blog and sticking up for the younger ladies. Hope I didn't offend you. I shouldn't have gotten so exasperated.

No it is fine Civilla. I will be honest it's hard for me to read things like that mainly because I'm a youth pastor - and it just seems like sometimes people always focus on how bad the younger generation is and never mention some of the AWESOME things some are doing and how GOOD some are. Just struck a nerve a lil bit. But there were a couple other posts I didn't quite agree with and the main reason was I just have a HUGE list of blogs I follow and went through and cleaned out a bunch! So sorry no offense by it just needed to downsize my reading list.
